With her background in Urban Design and her love for whimsical illustrations, Manon now has found her ‘thing’; observing and drawing maps of neighbourhoods and local communities. For each map of a neighbourhood, Manon goes out to observe what the neighbourhood looks like, what architecture is dominant, what are the remarkable buildings, where are the parks, what trees blossom in the spring, what do the people do on the streets … But she also talks to many people who live, work and play in the neighbourhood to hear about the community events, parties, the popular dogs of the hood and other quirky details that only the locals will know and recognize.
